Kentucky's New Custody Laws: Stronger Protections for Children
In Kentucky’s Family Courts, there were a few major changes to our statutes that took effect in July 2026. These changes affect how our courts determine custody and timesharing in meaningful ways, and it's worth understanding how they may impact custody and timesharing determinations going forward.


Agreed Divorce in Kentucky: A Faster, Less Stressful Path Forward
An "Agreed Divorce" means that both parties agree on ALL of the terms of the Divorce at the time of filing, whereas a "Contested Divorce" indicates that the parties are filing the action with disputes over the terms of asset division, custody/timesharing, or a whole host of other issues.
